COURSE NO.1

COURSE NAME: Basic Radar Systems

DATE & DURATION: 20 Days / (120 Hrs.)

LOCATION: SAUDI ACADEMY OF CIVIL AVIATION.

COURSE OBJECTIVE: After successful completion of this course, electronics and communication technicians will be able to describe the basic concepts and principles of operation of radar systems and be eligible to attend any radar equipment course.


COURSE NO.2

COURSE NAME: Radar Systems (PSR Raytheon)

DATE & DURATION: 20 Days / (120 Hrs.)

LOCATION: SAUDI ACADEMY OF CIVIL AVIATION.

COURSE OBJECTIVE: The course has been designed to provide an Experienced Radar Engineer/Technician with:

  • Clear understanding of the complete PSR system and its sub-systems.
  • Knowledge of the functional operation of the PSR system and an understanding of board/LRU functions.
  • Selection and use of maintenance aids such as fault finding procedures, manual and automatic fault isolation
  • Restoration of PSR system operation after minor or serious fault conditions

 

COURSE NO.3

COURSE NAME: Radar Systems (MSSR Raytheon)

DATE & DURATION: 20 Days / (120 Hrs.)

LOCATION: SAUDI ACADEMY OF CIVIL AVIATION.

COURSE OBJECTIVE: The course has been designed to provide an Experienced Radar Engineer/Technician with:

  • Clear understanding of the complete MSSR system and its sub-systems.
  • Knowledge of the functional operation of the PSR system and an understanding of board/LRU functions.

COURSE NAME: Basic Air Navigation Communication

DATE & DURATION: 20 Days / (120 Hrs.)

LOCATION: SAUDI ACADEMY OF CIVIL AVIATION.

COURSE OBJECTIVE: After successful completion of this course trainees will be able to describe the basic concept and principle of operation of navigation radio communication to be eligible for attending any navigational aids equipment course.

  • The basic functions of General Telecommunication Systems.
  • The Basics of Analog and Digital signals.
  • The Basics of Digital Signal Processing.
  • Analog to digital signal conversion techniques.
  • The advantage of Digital Systems.
  • Different Modulation methods (AM, FM,QPSK,PAM, and PCM,)
  • Multiple Access Methods ( FDMA, TDMA, CDMA)
  • Signal Encoding Schemes.

COURSE OBJECTIVE: To provide trainees with an extensive knowledge in ICS 200/60 that they will be able to:

  • Operate and maintain ICS 200/60.
  • Read out and modify data with PC.
  • Operate the system with software.
  • Carry out preventive maintenance.
  • Perform maintenance tasks procedures.

COURSE NAME Rhode and Shwars Radio Maintenance 4200

DATE & DURATION: 20 Days / (120 Hrs.)

LOCATION: SAUDI ACADEMY OF CIVIL AVIATION.

COURSE OBJECTIVE: After successful completion of this module, the trainees will have the skill and the knowledge of Operation and maintenance of:

  • R and S Radio Equipment installed at the airports of the Kingdom.
  • Become familiarized with different types of radio equipment used for different frequency bands.
  • Understand Radio Communication introduction and identification.

 

COURSE NO.7

COURSE NAME: VCSS FREQUANTIS (3020)

DATE & DURATION: 25 Days/ (150 Hrs.) (150 H)

LOCATION: SAUDI ACADEMY OF CIVIL AVIATION.

COURSE OBJECTIVE: To provide trainees with an extensive knowledge in VCS frequentis so that they will be able to:

  • Operate and maintain VCS frequents (3020)
  • Read out and modify data with PC
  • Operate the system with software
  • Carry out the preventive maintenance,
  • Perform the maintenance tasks procedures

 

COURSE NO.8

COURSE NAME: JOTRON RADIO MAINTENANCE

DATE & DURATION: 20 Days / (120 Hrs.)

LOCATION: SAUDI ACADEMY OF CIVIL AVIATION.

COURSE OBJECTIVE: After successful completion of this module,

trainees will have the skill and the knowledge of operation and maintenance of:

  • JOTRON Radio Equipment installed at the airports of the Kingdom.
  • Become familiarized with different types of radio equipment used for different frequency bands.
  • Understand Radio Communication introduction and identification.

 

COURSE NO.9

COURSE NAME: Basic Navigational Aid Systems

DATE & DURATION: 20 Days / (120 Hrs.)

COURSE OBJECTIVE: After successful completion of this course trainees will be able to: Understand the basic concepts and principles of operation of NAVAID (ILS system, VOR, TACAN and DME equipments).​

COURSE NAME: TACAN 453 AIRSYS MAINTENANCE

DATE & DURATION: 20 Days / (120 Hrs.)

LOCATION: SAUDI ACADEMY OF CIVIL AVIATION.

COURSE OBJECTIVE: After successful completion of this course trainees will be able to:

Understand the basic concepts and principles of operation of TACAN systems, perform PMI, perform F\C, fault-find and maintain the system.

 

COURSE NO.11

COURSE NAME: VOR431 / DME435 AIRSYS MAINTENANCE

DATE & DURATION: 20 Days / (120 Hrs.)

LOCATION: SAUDI ACADEMY OF CIVIL AVIATION.

COURSE OBJECTIVE: After successful completion of this courses trainees will be able to: Understand the basic concepts and principles of operation of the VOR431/DME435 system, perform PMI, Perform F\C, fault-find and maintain the system.                         ​

COURSE NAME: ILS THALES MAINTENANACE 400

DATE & DURATION: 8 WEEKS (240 H)

LOCATION: SAUDI ACADEMY OF CIVIL AVIATION.

COURSE OBJECTIVE: To provide trainees with an extensive knowledge in ILS /DME 400 so that they will be able to:

  • Operate and maintain ILS / DME 400.
  • Read out and modify data with PC.
  • Operate the system with software.
  • Carry out preventive maintenance.
  • Perform maintenance tasks procedures.

COURSE NAME: ILS NORMAC /DME FERNAU MAINTENANCE

DATE & DURATION: 8 WEEKS (240 H)

LOCATION: SAUDI ACADEMY OF CIVIL AVIATION.

COURSE OBJECTIVE: After successful completion of ILS NORMAC NM7000B / DME FERNAU 2020 equipment course, the trainees will be able to: Operate and maintain ILS-NORMAC 7000B/DME FERNAU 2020 equipment smoothly as per 

ILS-NORMAC 7000B series and DME FERNAU 2020 training and instruction manual.

 

COURSE NO.14

COURSE NAME: PC Application

DATE & DURATION: 20 Days / (120 Hrs.)

LOCATION: SAUDI ACADEMY OF CIVIL AVIATION.

COURSE OBJECTIVE: After successful completion of this courses trainees will be able to:

  • Identify basic hardware PC components and understand the procedure of assembling personnel computers.
  • Understand the basic concepts of computer software and its operating systems.

 

COURSE NO.15

COURSE NAME: Advanced Navigational Networks

DATE & DURATION: 20 Days / (120 Hrs.)

LOCATION: SAUDI ACADEMY OF CIVIL AVIATION.

COURSE OBJECTIVE: This course introduces the networking field is placed on network terminology and protocols, local area networks, wide-area networks, OSI model, cabling, router programming, Ethernet, IP addressing, and network standards. Upon completion, students should be able to:

  • Perform tasks related to networking mathematics, terminology, models, media, Ethernet, sub-netting, and TCP/IP Protocols.
  • Describe the protocols and services provided by the application layer in the OSI and TCP/IP models and describe how this layer operates in various networks
  • Build a simple Ethernet network using routers and switches.

COURSE NAME: NATIONAL ANS NETWORK (NAN)

DATE & DURATION: 20 Days / (120 Hrs.)

LOCATION: SAUDI ACADEMY OF CIVIL AVIATION.

COURSE OBJECTIVE: At the end of this course, the trainee will have:

  • Overview of NAN Network components.
  • Describe networks function.
  • Identify the major network components
  • Understand the basics of the Tellabs 8100 system and its network elements.
  • Use the Service Computer of Tellabs 8100 system.
  • Modify the NODE Configuration.
  • Be able to solve some troubleshooting of NAN networks.

 

COURSE NO.17

COURSE NAME: UNIX OPERATING AIR NAVIGATION SYSTEM

DATE & DURATION: 20 Days / (120 Hrs.)

LOCATION: SAUDI ACADEMY OF CIVIL AVIATION.

COURSE OBJECTIVE: To provide trainees with an extensive knowledge in UNIX commands so that they will be able to:

  • Understanding the OS of UNIX and navigate through shells and execute shell commands.
  • Manage the files and directories using the command line interface.
  • Perform maintenance tasks such as adding users, backing up the system, shutting down and rebooting.
  • Establish the relationship between Unix environment and Air Navigation System such as Radar and DATA
  • Reduce fear, uncertainty and doubt in UNIX commands.

  • Routine scheduled maintenance designed to preserve the equipment or to reduce the chance of failure.

COURSE NAME: FUNDAMENTALS OF AIR TRAFFIC MANAGEMENT
