Based on the existing partnership between the Saudi Academy of Civil Aviation and the International Air Transport Association (IATA), the Academy hosted two training courses in Jeddah titled “Dangerous Goods Regulations for Acceptance of Dangerous Goods Shipments (Category 9)” and “Competency-Based Training and Assessment (CBTA) for Dangerous Goods Instructors.”
The courses aimed to qualify 18 trainers from the Academy to deliver specialized training programs in the field of dangerous goods.
The two courses were designed to enable participants to comply with safety requirements and regulatory standards related to the acceptance and air transport of dangerous goods, as well as to enhance the instructors’ competencies in alignment with their job duties and responsibilities.
This is achieved in accordance with the Competency-Based Training and Assessment (CBTA) framework, while also fulfilling regulatory compliance requirements related to the transport of dangerous goods.
